Meet Dr. Ashley Deacy

Helping Our Community, One Person at a Time

As a dentist, I love caring for patients from a whole body perspective, establishing a connection with each person and making them comfortable while gaining their trust. I value the relationships we build and respect the individual’s needs, wants, and goals.

Each person has their own, unique story of how they came to be and I respect, appreciate, and cater to that story. Some people may not want to spend a lot of money on their teeth, prizing function above all else, while others care about the aesthetics and will do anything for that million-dollar smile. Each person has their own desires and I enjoy finding the perfect treatment solution, by listening to and working with my patient, to make sure we achieve their goal.

Above all else, I care about my patients’ happiness, wellness, and longevity. I seek to understand each person’s wants, needs, and fears, and will do anything and everything to make sure all issues are heard and addressed – without judgment.

It is an honor to be entrusted with a person’s oral health, and the impact is has on their emotional and physical wellbeing. I am resolved to provide each patient with the highest quality dental care, tailored to their unique situation, and to serve my patients with integrity, compassion, and professionalism.

One of the most fascinating aspects of dentistry is the constant evolution of the practice. Ongoing research yields new materials, methodologies, and technologies, which have the potential to deliver ever stronger results and more comfortable care.

I stay current on the newest technologies and standards of care in order to provide my patients with the best dentistry for their needs. Throughout the year I pursue continuing dental education opportunities, seeking out the best new options to bring into the practice.

In addition to attending meetings, lectures, and seminars, I have studied:

  • Total Patient Services by Steven J. Anderson
  • Sleep Apnea/TMJ by Tucker Education
  • Clinicians Report by Gordon Christensen

I am particularly interested in providing patients with evidence-based information in the treatment of sleep apnea with oral appliances.

Beyond the Practice

I grew up in Independence and now live in Northland KC with my husband, Luke. He and I were high school sweethearts: we’ve been together for ten years and married for two.

Outside of seeing patients, and staying abreast of the latest dental information, I most love being with family and friends and volunteering at my church. I also like working out, especially lifting weights, and traveling, biking, being outdoors, and making quilts.

Each February, I participate in a mission trip to Haiti (Northwest Haiti Christian Mission, St. Louis de Nord), providing dental care to underserved individuals. I also volunteer my dental services through the annual Missouri Mission of Mercy.

My faith is core to who I am. I am passionate about spreading the love of Jesus Christ by treating everyone I come in contact with equally, lovingly, and with value.
